What we do.

Most of our work is long-term, one-to-one coaching. Around it sits a small set of things we do for the people close to you: your co-founder, your executive team, your life partner, and in family and generational businesses, the parents or children who share the company with you. Everything here starts with the same intake.

Individual coaching

This is the core of the practice. You're matched to one coach, and the two of you work together for as long as the work is useful. Most clients stay for years, because the benefit compounds.

The work starts with the vision you have, for the company and for your life, and the gap between that and how you're actually experiencing your days. From there it goes wherever it needs to: a decision you keep deferring, a relationship on the board, the exec team, or at home with your partner that costs you sleep, the version of yourself you slip into under pressure and don't much like. Cadence is typically weekly to start, while the relationship and the momentum get built. As the work progresses it changes to what you need, and for some clients that means moving to every other week. Short asks between sessions are part of it.

You'll probably notice the change in particular rooms before you notice it in yourself: the board meeting you leave having said what you actually think, the co-founder conversation that had been living in the text thread and finally happens out loud, the hire or the exit that's been on hold for a quarter, the evening at home where you're actually there.

Co-founder coaching

Two founders, sometimes two coaches, one working relationship that the company depends on. Co-founder coaching is for pairs who want to get ahead of the drift: the decisions that used to take ten minutes and now take a week, the conversations that have moved from the office to the text thread, the sense that you're running two companies inside one.

Each co-founder can have their own coach here, so neither of you has to share the person you're talking to. We bring you together when the work calls for it.

When it's acute: co-founder conflict and negotiation. Some pairs come to us at the point where the relationship, the equity, or the roles are being renegotiated in real time. That's still co-founder coaching, at a different temperature. We hold the conversation so it can actually happen, and help you reach an outcome both of you can live inside, whether that's a repaired partnership or a clean separation. If you're not sure which you're in, the co-founder conflict field guide and the Co-founder Check are a place to start.

Group coaching for executive teams

The founder's work rarely stays in the founder. When the leadership team needs the room too, we coach the team as a group: how you make decisions together, what gets said in the meeting and what gets said after it, and the dynamics that everyone can feel and no one has named. This is team dynamics work, done with the people who have to live with the result.

The person making this call isn't always on the team. A CEO who wants the leadership team working as one before the next stage, a board member watching a succession, a family office executive who can see a strain the family can't discuss yet: any of them can start the conversation. We'll say plainly what we think the team needs, and whether that's us.

Offsites and facilitated team sessions

Designed around the conversation your team has been avoiding, rather than an agenda template. A facilitated session can be a half-day on one hard question, or a two-day offsite that resets how the team works. We build it with you, run it, and stay on afterward so that what the team learned in the room makes it into the day-to-day. Offsites often produce a good two days and nothing after. The follow-through is where it gets integrated.

If it isn't on this list

Ask anyway. We tailor the work to what each client needs, and some of what we do now started as a request that wasn't on any list. Stakeholder feedback from the people around you, support for a senior hire's first ninety days, help turning intensive personal work into decisions: these have all started as a question in an intake.

Individual coaching is one engagement, open-ended and billed quarterly, with the rate set to the stage of the company. Co-founder, team, and offsite work is scoped separately and explicitly, so you always know what you're saying yes to. Cost, cadence, and how matching works are covered in the FAQ.
